Bringing Art to the Community – On the Road Again!

After saying a heartfelt goodbye to our original Art Bus in 2020, we’ve been hard at work reimagining our Mobile Studio program. Thanks to a generous grant from the Oregon Community Foundation, material donations from Mr. Plywood, and the incredible support of individual donors, the Mobile Studio is back — and better than ever!

Our newly outfitted Mobile Studio includes tents, tables, chairs, and a full supply of art materials — everything needed to spark creativity at public park events, outdoor afterschool programs, or even private birthday parties. Each event is led by two (or more) of our talented art facilitators, who bring energy, inspiration, and a fully customized art experience to every stop.

Our facilitators do more than just show up with art supplies — they show up with intention. We believe in meeting kids where they are, both physically and creatively. Whether we’re setting up in a local park or a family’s backyard, our team is trained to adapt each session to the unique needs, skill levels, and interests of the group. Every child is welcomed, valued, and supported in expressing themselves freely and confidently. Mobile Studio parties also offer a more personalized, inclusive alternative to crowded, high-stimulation venues — creating a space where all kids can feel seen, celebrated, and creatively engaged.

Host a Mobile Studio Art Party: On Your Terms, For a Great Cause

Hosting a Mobile Studio Art Party is simple and flexible — we come to you! Whether it’s your backyard, a park, or a community space, we’ll bring everything needed for a fun, creative celebration. Party packages start at $300 for the first hour, with additional time available at $50 per half hour. For groups of over 16 children, or projects that require special materials (like t-shirts), additional fees may apply.

What’s Included:

• A custom art project for up to 16 kids, based on your chosen theme or medium (Painting, printmaking, sculpture, jewelry-making, sewing, etc.)
• All art materials, plus optional setup of tables, chairs, and tents
• Two or more friendly, experienced art facilitators
• Each child leaves with a handmade creation

Best of all, every dollar goes beyond the party. Proceeds from Mobile Studio Art Parties directly support Free Arts NW’s outreach programs, making art experiences free and accessible for underserved youth in our community. When you book a party, you’re not just celebrating — you’re investing in creativity, equity, and opportunity for all kids.
